The content of this book is timeless, superior guidance for serious artists - well, MALE artists. I am aware of the time frame of this book, yet the incessant references to him, he, his, craftsman, man, man, man, he, he, he.... were so prevalent as to be distracting. Finally, I took a black ball point pen and censored every instance of male reference. I found it much easier to concentrate on the ideas and directives after doing that.
